Hey everyone, it’s not much but I just wanted to come and share my support. I’m sure by now everyone has heard about the new law in Texas. As a Texan, I cannot tell you how much this sickens me.

For it to become a law that it’s considered child abuse and for having teachers reporting any trans kid they see, I mean what words are there to describe this? I can’t even find them despite me being a writer.

I might not be able to do much but the least I can do is support everyone in the trans community (and the LGBTQ+ as a whole).

My way of protesting has always been a silent and personal one in that I just read books on these issues. Given that Texas is banning books too, it only seems fitting that I protest both. Again, it’s not much but at least it’s something right?

Again, as a Texan, let’s just say I miss the days when this wasn’t a hot button issue, an issue that shouldn’t be anyways, especially in these times. It should be a time of acceptance but instead, those who have the power are forcing agendas.

When it comes to trans or any other LGBTQ+ issue, it should be a personal one, instead of one controlled by the government. But then hey, Texas is forcing anti-abortion issues too so what can I say, Texas is all around a sick and depressing state, now more so.

Just know that I’m here for you all. I’ve got your back and I always will.
