About Me
Liz Oliveros
Teacher/ Life long learner
I love to teach, it is so natural to me. I have been consumed by the Harry Potter series since college, to a point where my classroom is like Hogwarts exploded in it. I even had the opportunity to travel to London and see The Cursed Child.
I am a type 1 diabetic. Have had this since I was 15 months old, I don’t know a life without the disease. My dog, Kole, has training to sense my low blood sugar levels… there are many times years ago that he had saved my life, especially when I was living alone.
I love skiing, but haven’t been to the slopes in nearly a decade 🙁 CrossFit has been my fitness outlet lately.

I had to come back and reread this message from the two of you today. I had been focusing on the daily challenges and the overall feel good essence shared through what you two said here. Such a phenomenal essay, ladies! Then, the news hit late this week that...
This is so wonderful! It definitely doesn’t leave room for negative thinking. The quality of positive thinking and kindness is such a joy and we can certainly do that for ourselves. ❤️
Cindy, This was a great thought provoking essay. It is too easy to take some of the simplest things for granted. I totally agree with your point on emotional maturity and our ability to see Joy in the daily “stuff.” Going through your challenge this week has really helped ground...
