What an article! You have faced some serious stuff that shook your world and here you are, challenging us. Way to go! Like Cindy mentioned, your wisdom on facing adversity and making a point to recognize joy is quite motivating. I read this before I left my house to...

About Me

Liz Oliveros

Teacher/ Life long learner

I love to teach, it is so natural to me. I have been consumed by the Harry Potter series since college, to a point where my classroom is like Hogwarts exploded in it. I even had the opportunity to travel to London and see The Cursed Child.

I am a type 1 diabetic. Have had this since I was 15 months old, I don’t know a life without the disease. My dog, Kole, has training to sense my low blood sugar levels… there are many times years ago that he had saved my life, especially when I was living alone.

I love skiing, but haven’t been to the slopes in nearly a decade 🙁 CrossFit has been my fitness outlet lately.
