Today I had the first assessment for mental health services / therapy. I’ve been struggling on and off for 10 years and it probably goes beyond that, but I finally took that first step and wanted to share. I didn’t want to post about it everywhere and tell everyone (more because I’m so tired, not because I feel ashamed) but wanted to share here.

Poor Things starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe… I saw a review before I watched that said ‘a Barbie film if it was about weird Barbie’ and it was SO ACCURATE. I loved it, as bonkers and weird as it was, I hope it gets a good turnout once released.

That sounds like a great way to spend the day! We tried to give activity gifts to each other this past Christmas and birthdays. Finding something you enjoy doing with a friend or relative and sharing time instead of a gift they may not use is lovely.

I love doing that – I try to do it with my dad each year and make a day my step siblings and niblings can come to as well as I always know that makes him happy! Memories are priceless.
