The 40 days of intentions articles have really inspired me to set intentions for myself. So, like the millennial I am, I took to Google.

This past year started with me coming out to my sister, and that was the best decision I ever made. It was hard, so so hard. I wasn’t scared about how she’d react to the “gay thing”. I was more scared because she’s my best friend and I had been hiding this significant part of who I am from her.

My chosen family means so much to me. They love me for me and are there to support me through anything. I found my chosen family only after I accepted who I was and left home.
