Happy New Year! I started my year off by watching the new Matilda film and highly recommend it – it’s so fun and touching and oh WOW Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch) is incredible.
I do admit, I still prefer the original as it’s one I’ve grown up with and it means so much to me. However, I don’t think this new film can be compared as it’s so different. I really hope this year will be a good year for films.

I have to agree, I watched it just after Christmas and I loved it. The original is amazing but this musical was just so unique and different.
I’ve thought about watching it but this is just a classic that, in my opinion, shouldn’t be touched. LOL. I grew up watching the original as well so it’s hard to imagine anything else.
