I was dog sitting today, so I had an excuse to get out and walk. I used to walk for miles in the countryside before the pandemic, but as you know, life likes to throw curveballs.

Today I went to my favourite place which is a 4 mile round trip walk. My favourite thing about it is no one else knows that it’s my favourite place, and it’s in the middle of fields and forests. I can look around at the town I live in from a distance, watch the places taking off and landing nearby. Today I even saw some deer.

Life is incredibly tough at the minute, and it will be for the foreseeable future which is out of my control and it’ll never be the same after, but I’ll always have that place whether I’m dog sitting or not. For today, I call that a little win.
