I shared this in the books thread, but I figured I’d share it here too because the topic matches. My therapist is going to start me on a treatment plan called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s something I had never heard of before, and I’m not the type of person to go in blind with the things I go through. I like to learn about psychology because I like to understand what makes people tick and what is used in the process.
So I picked these books up since I hear they’re a couple of the best books on the subject as they are by the same author and by the person who came up with EMDR in the first place.
I look forward to reading these along with the therapy I receive.
About Me
Ronnie
Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
