I think it makes the most sense to post this in here: today was very much bittersweet.
As some of you may know, I got a promotion back in April to be a supervisor for my company at their brand new centre but there’s only one problem we have not yet been able to opt in to the government funded program we have in Ontario. This provides a percentage off of daycare fees for families. All of our families want this grant (rightfully so) and it has taken a lot longer than we expected. They made the decision to suspend our opening to September. While I am still going to be employed and working other the other location before returning to my own in September. I still feel like I’m grieving a loss in a way. We had to close the blinds in the centre for the first time and that made it feel so real. Shutting down my computer completely and closing the door for the last time for a while really hit hard not going to lie.
