*New Recipe Alert* Freshly Baked!
Chocolate Cherry Thumbprints
Cookie Dough:
•1 cup Butter softened
•½ cup Sugar
•2 cup Flour
•1 tsp Vanilla
Maraschino Cherries (for Garnish)Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Cream together butter and sugar and
vanilla
3. Mix in flour (your dough will look
crumbly).
4. Roll dough into round balls or use a
cookie scoop and place on a parchment-
paper lined cookie sheet.
5. Make thumbprints in each dough ball
and fill with a cherry from the pie filling.
6. If the dough is even a little bit warm (or
“room temperature”), place your cookie
sheet in the freezer for 15 minutes to
allow the dough to chill back up. You
want to put these cookies in the oven
while the dough is still cold to minimize
spreading!
7. Bake for 15 mins until edges start to get
lightly brown and cookie sets up.Chocolate Glaze:
•1-½ cups (150 grams) confectioners’ sugar
•4 tablespoons (27 grams) cocoa powder
•2 tablespoons milk or water
•2 teaspoons vanillaSift together the sugar and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Slowly stir in the milk and vanilla, a little at a time, to make a smooth, pourable glaze.
Enjoy :))
