I posted this book in the mental health thread but I figured I’d share it here too. I just love when I get books that merge with the mental health thread and the books one.
I’m apart of a support group for bipolar disorder on Facebook. It has been amazing. I can finally open up and relate to others and am able to deal with my bipolar when I have such a hard time with it.
Anyways, one of the topics we were discussing was why people use the word “normal” all the time. Such as when people say what you do isn’t normal. Someone then recommended this book, “The Myth of Normal”. It’s over 500 pgs so it will take me a while to read but the synopsis sounded like what I needed.
About Me
Ronnie
Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
