I think I’ve established the fact that I’m not good at drawing. I’m even worse when it comes to drawing faces, but lately, from a book I’ve been reading, and now from Angelo’s recent article on ‘Growth, Renewal, and Pride,’ it really got me into wanting to do something.
The book I’ve been reading, “Your Brain on Art: How the Arts Transform Us”, has really gotten me to think that it’s not about good you are when it comes to drawing or painting or any of the art forms. What matters is that it makes you happy. Art has a way of healing us mentally so it should not even matter if we’re good or not. Art affects the mind the same way in that it gives us an out and makes our lives better.
All of that said, now that I’m being inspired, I drew the first thing that came to mind. Go figure, it had to be Superman.
About Me
Ronnie
Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
