This post could go either here or in the books thread, but for the sake of writing, I thought it would be a lot more fun here.
I found some books that talk about fanfiction writing and how it’s become more mainstream and seen more as actual writing.
With ‘Starship Therapise’ it was about how fanfiction can work in favor as a form of therapy. I didn’t care for it that much because I didn’t get anything out of it.
‘Fanfiction’ was nothing new, because it was stuff I already knew given that I’ve been writing FF since I was 12.
I’m still waiting for ‘Fanfiction Reader’ to arrive so I’m hoping to start that one soon.
‘Loving Fanfiction’ won’t be released until the end of May, but I’ve pre-ordered that one.
I’m always looking for nonfiction books that discuss fanfiction so these are pretty cool (minus the ones I rated low stars)
About Me
Ronnie
Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
