OMG I have an awesome assignment for my multicultural class. I have to choose 5 children or YA books that are multicultural based and then write summaries for them.
Naturally I had to go towards my Indigenous books. I already have 3 ready to go, plus a poetry book, and ordered two others. The cool thing is that as I looked at the lists provided by my professor, it had a lot of the Indigenous books I already owned.
I so can’t wait for this assignment even though it won’t be due for two weeks. Still excited.
These are some of the books I’ll be using. I probably won’t go with ‘Killer’s of the Flower Moon’ though, haven’t decided.

Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
