I have been loving my multicultural class. It’s given me an excuse to buy new books. The first assignment I had was to pick 5 books (any ones) and write summaries of them.
Now I’m having to write lesson plans and I don’t have many books that I own that will fit within the themes and grade levels I need so I’ve had to buy more YA.
I’m mainly doing books related to Mexican heritage and Native American heritage.
School’s mainly teach about White and Black cultures and I want to branch out and do something different. It’s certainly been a fun assignment. Plus how could I say no to more books?!
About Me
Ronnie
Shy and quiet reader. Shy and quiet writer.
Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
