Okay, so I am finally going to share this with you all. I officially self-published my first book!
I honestly had no intention of doing this. It was just kind of one of those things that happened. The main premise of the book deals with my struggles with mental illness and my self harm. These are things, while I advocate online for, I never thought about publishing them.
I am normally not a prideful person. If anything I shy away from things that put me in the center and I’m very humble with things. Still, I can’t help but feel a little proud that I accomplished this.
A friend of mine owns an independent bookstore and was even proud to put my book in his shop which I wasn’t expecting. It’s not about the money for me. If anything that’s the last thing I care about. I wrote this for my own healing as well as for my family and friends. Just to get it bound was and is good enough. Though one person has since bought a copy at my friend’s shop which was more than I could have hoped for.
I’m currently in the process of working on my second book which I hope to have published sometime next year, if not sooner.

Aside from being a fangirl, I am an avid reader to the extreme. I converted an old bedroom into a library so much of my time is spent in it. I read a variety of genres but my main genre is Non-Fiction and a sub-genre of Native American studies.
My top 3 books of all time:
- Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
- The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
