This might not fit in with the exact idea of writing in terms of creatively but does any one else feel joy when their school notes are colourful? For me, it makes learning so much more fun. I always have to write them like this: each important person is written in their own colour, as are definitions, examples etc.

OMG don’t get me started on this topic! I love writing and highlighting and making notes in my book. The way I view it is that my books are like journals, I’m responding with my own thoughts as to how I feel about the narrative or what words I don’t know and such. I certainly view it as a form of creativity because you can play around with it in terms of highlighting, notes on sticky notes, tabs, etc. You should see how creative people get with this stuff on places like TikTok and Instagram. It’s pretty amazing. Takes longer to read, but so worth it. Here are a few of mine.

This helped me so much when studying for exams! It made the thought of it exciting as I could get my favourite pens out and make it look neat. The idea behind it was that if it was easier to see and read, I’d retain the information more easily… I don’t think it quite worked, but the process was satisfying at least.
